Sentinel Stroke Audit (Retrospective data collected Oct - Dec 2004)
Part 1 - MINAP. This part of the indicator assesses whether a trust has greater than 90% completeness for the 11 key fields in patients with an admission diagnosis of definite infarction.
Trusts should be aware that the cut off date for data to be submitted to MINAP for use in the 2004/2005 performance ratings is Friday May 27th. It is recommended that trusts do not leave their data submission until the deadline.
Part 2 - National Sentinel Audit of Stroke 2004. This part of the indicator assesses whether a trust submitted details for a minimum of 20 stroke patients admitted during the period April to June 2004.
The results from parts 1 and 2 have been combined to produce an overall score for this indicator, with each component having equal weighting.
